Watching Little Miss Sunshine.
Oh. My. I love this movie.
Even though there are so many inappropriate things that i don't agree with in it.
There are so many awful things, yet in the end it is the very thing they dread that brings them together as a family in a totally unique way that defies societal expectations.
Amazing.
Crazy day.
Wow.
Closed last night, for the fourth night in a row, and didn't get home until 12:30 AM. Then stayed up and worked on one last homework assignment. Until 1 AM. Then, I crawled out of bed at 7AM, and left for school at 7:30 AM.
And while exhausted during class, my teacher has the kindness to tell us that she is postponing the assignment that I stayed up working on until next week. How nice of her.
So I got through the rest of the school day, and then the craziness started.
First off, I had to take Minnie to get her nails trimmed.
Speck's does it for $4 every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month.
But, I've never taken her without Jamie.
And she is Jamie's girl.
She did great up until the 4th paw,
and then she had an EPIC meltdown.
I. mean. EPIC.
It was awful. She was nipping at me and the grooming lady, and was thrashing all over the table.
So, i got her a bone, and a pup cup at Starbucks.
That was three hours ago, and this is where she has been since:
As you can tell by the fact that she refuses to look at me, she hates my guts.
I don't really know what to do about it.
I really missed Jamie during all of this.
She never acts this way with him.
The one positive is, she loves the bone. She won't leave it alone.
Then I went grocery shopping. I was exhausted and really didn't want to go, but had no choice, as we have nothing to eat.
Since Jamie and I are never home, we don't eat nearly as many fixed meals, so I don't have to buy nearly as much food.
So, I used the remainder of my budget to buy awesome healthy snacks.
I got fresh fruit and veggies, some awesome Cliff and Larabars, and some wonderful, amazing, not-so-healthy Hint-O-Mint Newman-O's.
And, they were on sale.
So great.
After I got home, a little girl who was probably 9 or 10 came to my door asking for donations for an event at her school she was participating in.
I couldn't say no.
I am defenseless against children.
So, I gave her $5 of my personal budget.
At first I was irritated, but really, I prefer giving it to a worthy cause than spending it on something that I don't really need.
Makes me feel good about helping her.
So, that leads back to where I am now.
Watching Little Miss Sunshine,
and eating Soy vanilla ice cream with crushed Newman-O's on it, and waiting on my long lost husband to get home.
Wonderful.
